WE ARE FIREBREAK
Firebreak is a hospitality-focussed
business operating in four distinct areas:
Since 2010 Firebreak has been working with distressed enterprises, helping
stakeholders to achieve successful turnaround. This has involved working
closely and extensively with all stakeholders, including receivers, banks,
owners, investors, developers and those holding – or acquiring - outstanding loans leveraged on properties involved.
Firebreak’s success in these areas comes from the specific expertise
represented on the team, which includes operational, financial and
development experience in the hospitality sector, and corporate finance
experience across a range of industries

WHAT WE DO
Firebreak’s extensive experience,
in both finance and hospitality,
puts us in an ideal position to identify
unexploited opportunities and areas
of under performance within a business.
This in turn enables us to rationalise
or optimise, as appropriate, to create
viable businesses that are ready to
thrive. We achieve this in a number
of ways, including:
• identifying acquisition opportunities on behalf of our clients
• assessing and evaluating hospitality assets that are underperforming,
and providing strategies and recommendations
• devising, implementing and managing turnaround strategies and
financial modelling for distressed hospitality enterprises.
• assisting clients with due diligence and the bidding process, in the
acquisition of hospitality assets
• implementing organisational change, including the installation of new
management teams and structures
• the management and operation of hospitality assets
• the optimisation of purchasing and labour costs
• helping with all aspects of opening or re-launching a hospitality business,
including development, refurbishment, market re-positioning
and re-branding.
In addition, Firebreak seeks suitable properties in which to invest.
Firebreak was established in 2010,
during what was probably the most
challenging period in the history of
the Irish hospitality industry, and in
the midst of a global recession.
Our ability to achieve turnaround
for clients, and to optimise
hospitality businesses in this
adverse environment, is evidence
of our uniquely successful approach.
That approach owes its strength to Firebreak’s:
• deep sectoral experience
• unique blend of hospitality, finance and corporate finance expertise
• extensive base of contacts across a variety of industries, sectors & markets
• dedicated, results-focussed team.
At Firebreak our relationships with investors, clients, personnel and
suppliers are central to our success. We treat every asset as if it were our
own, giving our full attention to each project we are involved in.
